Training |
Training courses are provided free of charge, including travel. The only cost to your school is arranging cover for you.
NUT representatives and local officers have a statutory entitlement to time
off with pay during working hours for training related to their role.
Health and Safety representatives also have this right through the Safety
Representatives and Safety Committees Regulations.
NUT courses are held at Stoke Rochford near Grantham. Your school Rep. should
have a booklet giving details of all courses, with booking forms at the back
of the booklet.
The Association does have some facility time available which can be used by
members when attending bona fide Union training courses. This means that the
school (including GM schools ) can claim back the cost of supply cover from
the LEA .
